Ronit Shemtov, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Sociology at Northampton Community College.
She has published research on social movements, with an emphasis on environmental NIMBY groups. Her current research interests include the effect of spirituality in the workplace. Prof. Shemtov has taught at Siena College and Lehigh University. At NCC, Shemtov leads the Faculty Colloquium Series and workshops in Integrative Education (based on the work of Parker Palmer) and also represents NCC on the steering committee of the Beacon Conference. Dr. Shemtov obtained her doctorate from the University of Connecticut.
