Christine Bowditch Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Sociology at Lehigh Carbon Community College. She has taught at the University of Southern Maine, Colby College, and Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Her research areas are the sociology of education and criminology. In both areas, she addresses issues of racial and economic inequality. Christine serves on the Board of Pinebrook Services for Children and Youth, participates in the activities of the Lehigh Dialogue Center, and represents LCCC on the steering committee of the Beacon Scholars Conference. She is currently engaged in the production of educational and documentary videos through the Verstehen Video Project. Dr. Bowditch received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
