Robert G. Root, Ph.D.
Associate Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Mathematics at Lafayette College.
He has taught at Vassar College and Georgetown University. Over the past decade he has experimented with community-based research in the teaching of applied statistics and service-learning associated with a first-year seminar. In the process he has worked with a wide variety of community-based organizations in Easton and the Greater Lehigh Valley. His work has been described as innovative, so he has had the opportunity to chronicle his efforts in articles, book chapters, workshops, and panel sessions locally, nationally, and internationally. Dr. Root received his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware.
